Hello! My name is Mrs. Shepard and I would like to welcome you to sixth grade. This will be my tenth year teaching in the San Marcos Unified School District. I started my teaching career working as a substitute teacher in both Escondido and San Marcos. Since then, I have had the privilege of teaching Reading Intervention (K-4), fourth grade, and fifth grade at Double Peak. I am so excited to begin my fifth year of teaching sixth-grade Inquiry at Double Peak!

I grew up close by in Valley Center and received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State San Marcos. 

When I am not teaching, I am traveling the world with my family, supporting my own children's local sports teams, cheering for the Steelers, or spending time with my grandbabies and good friends. 

I am looking forward to a great school year full of exploration, perseverance, smiles, and laughs.
