Welcome to Mrs. Anderson's 1st Grade Classroom!
Hello and welcome to 1st grade! I am so excited for the school year to begin and I look forward to meeting all of my students. Teaching children is my passion and I know we will have an amazing year having fun and learning together. This year will be my 30th year teaching, which 18 have been in the San Marcos Unified School District. During this time I have taught first, second, third, and sixth grade.
I am married to my husband Mitch for 28 years and have two sons, Jake (23) and Zach (22). Jake just graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Architecture and Zach is currently at Arizona State University pursuing a degree in Business. When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, hanging out with friends, shopping, and going to the beach.
My education consists of earning a Bachelor of Science Degree with an emphasis in Mathematics from Kansas State University, a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from MidAmerica Nazarene University, and an Administrative Credential from California State University San Marcos.
