I’m Kamal Elliott-Pomerenke (pronounced like “COME-ALL the way over here!) and I am so excited to start this upcoming School Year! I grew up bouncing between Temecula and Long Beach but I have now lived in North
San Diego County for almost ten years. I teach 8th Grade English/Language Arts and my personal focus is on building narrative voice and poetry. Personally, I feel like English/Language Arts is the perfect place for
young people to begin to see themselves as dynamic, evolving individuals that have theability to interact with and change the society they live in.

When I’m not working or studying you can usually find me curled up with a book or out at a park with my wife and our son.

100 page single spiral notebook
independent reading book
computer (charged daily)
