Yearbook is an elective where 7th and 8th grade students will learn about and apply the elements of art and the principles of design to create the current year’s yearbook.  Students will learn how to create a theme, write engaging captions, learn journalism concepts, use a digital SLR camera, learn the fundamentals of photography as well as digital design concepts.  This is a highly engaging class and students will be required to collaborate and actively participate in class discussions and creative sessions throughout the year.  It is expected that students are organized, driven and work hard on their spreads.  Deadlines must be met throughout the year in order to complete the yearbook on time, and students will be responsible for their spreads as well as helping one another.  Yearbook is a rewarding and fun experience, and I hope to capture the memories of our school this year with you!
