Mrs. Katie Buffum (A-L)

I am very excited to be at Double Peak K-8 again this school year. I have been an educator for the past 15 years, all in the San Marcos Unified School District. I started my career at San Elijo Middle then moved on to San Marcos Middle School. I began my journey as an administrator in 2014 at Woodland Park Middle School as the assistant principal and in 2015 I was assistant principal at San Elijo Middle School.

On a personal note, I am blessed to be married to my husband of 16 years and a mother of two boys. My oldest son Ethan is 15 and my youngest son Mason is 10. My family loves being outdoors and you will often find us at the beach, park, sport parks, or riding our bikes around town. I grew up in Central California and moved here after high school to attend college. Once I set my eyes on San Diego County there was no chance I would be moving back up to Central California.
