Welcome to 4th grade!

My name is Mrs. Lyon and I am so excited to be your teacher! I have been teaching 4th & 5th grade in SMUSD for 18 years. I grew up in the Bay Area until high school. I went to UC Santa Barbara for college. After living by the ocean, I was hooked! I moved to San Diego after graduation and got my masters and teaching credential at University of San Diego. In SMUSD, I have worked at San Marcos Elementary and La Mirada Academy. I live in Carlsbad with my husband and our two boys Hunter (10) & Jack (8). When I am not teaching, you can usually find me at my kid’s sporting events! In my spare time, I love being with my family and friends at the beach, hiking, watching 49er & Padres games or traveling. I am looking forward to a great year ahead!
