Lessons for 7th Grade:
1st Lesson: Interest Profiler
What does the Interest Profiler do?
The Interest Profiler analyzes student responses. Students answer using one of five response options presented in Likert Scale format. The Interest Profiler provides greater opportunity for reflection by helping students understand how their interests connect to different careers. It can help them realize their interests and focus on them as they explore careers.
What do the results show?
Students will see how their responses correspond to six interest areas: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional (RIASEC). Students can also include a reflection on these results that will be saved and added to their My Career Plan. Additionally, students see a list of careers that match their interests.
Forming a budget is one of the most important parts of financial success. As you first enter the workforce, or even if you switch jobs, knowing how much money you will have available to spend on different aspects of your life will help you avoid debt and possibly even save some money for a rainy day.
Choose Your Lifestyle
When you select this option, you will be asked a series of questions to help you determine the lifestyle you want to lead and how much it will cost you. When you are finished you can look at occupations that might support that lifestyle.
