I was born and raised in beautiful Southern California! I graduated from California State University San Marcos with a B.A. in Liberal Studies and a B.A. in Arts and Technology. I also received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSUSM. While in my undergraduate, I was an active member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, and today I am an advisor for my alumni chapter! In 2022, I earned my Master's Degree, also from CSUSM, in Curriculum and Instruction.
I met my husband, Drew, at a Greek mixer - he is an alumni of Sigma Chi. We graduated together and afterward he attended the University of San Francisco to earn his M.A. in Sport Management. He currently works at The Crosby Club in Rancho Santa Fe as an Assistant Golf Professional. Last year he received his PGA professional license and is now completing the PGA Professional program. We live together in 4S Ranch with our very lazy and spoiled cats, Miracle and Nipsey, and our adorably stubborn English Bulldog, Athena. We recently got married in June and have enjoyed being newlyweds!
In my free time, I love spending time with my nephew, Wesley (6 yrs.), and niece, Riley (3 yrs.)! Being an auntie is one of my favorite things in the entire world! Wesley and I enjoy going to trampoline parks and playing Mario Kart together! Riley is very sassy and independent, but sometimes she'll let me do her hair and take her shopping! I also enjoy spending time with my family's dog, Muffin - I have taught her fun tricks, like jumping through someone’s legs! When I am not doing any of those things, I am probably at home with Drew and our pets, watching a movie, or reading a Sandra Brown or Colleen Hoover novel!
I have such a love for learning and teaching! I develop strong connections with my students and really try my best to make school fun for them. I truly feel at home in my classroom at DPS with my wonderful students.
