Students taking Intro to Studio Art as an elective will be immersed in a year-long engaging and comprehensive art curriculum. Students will learn about and apply the elements of art and the principles of design, while creating original and meaningful works of art.  Students will learn a variety of art techniques and use a multitude of art media, including ceramics, watercolor, acrylic painting, paper mache, printmaking, sewing, weaving, 3D sculpture and graphite.  Historical and contemporary artists and art movements throughout history will be studied as well as cultures from around the world.  Intro to studio art is designed for students of all abilities and will not only improve their 21st century skills, but will also prepare them for higher level art classes in the future.  I am looking forward to creating with you all this year!!
