Design Thinking Process

Design Thinking in the Makerspace

Double Peak School students have a 30-40 minute Innovation Block within their daily schedules. Within this block, classes cycle through engineering, technology, and/or design thinking in the Makerspace. While in the DPS Makerspace, classes have two weeks to go through the Design Thinking Process to build prototypes to help solve real world or curricular Design Challenges.

Creative Freedom- Makerspace Mornings

Our DPS Makerspace is also open in the mornings before school for students to have complete creative freedom.  Students in grades 1st through 8th visit to build tall towers, add to the Lego wall, build catapults, or even make pillows! Makerspace Mornings is loved by all students as they have complete freedom to build, create, tinker, and collaborate with each other at the very start of their days.
